Dr Saliba Interests
Dr Saliba is committed to excellence in surgery and providing holistic care to patients in a timely fashion and endeavours to ensure short waiting times.
Holistic care considers the psychological, environmental and spiritual needs of a patient, as well as the physical so that people are treated as whole human beings and the impact of the illness on their quality of life is evaluated too.
As a female specialist Breast Surgeon, Dr Lucia Saliba understands her medical role in nurturing, caring and understanding patients who are in a difficult and uncomfortable position in their lives.
Dr Saliba is a comprehensive surgeon, providing end to end care for patients, meaning a patient is able to stay with her from oncological surgery, through to re-construction. She also has strong connections and networks, where she is able to refer to other specialists when the need arises.
Many other surgeons do not offer the ‘before and after’ of looking after a patient; they only perform the surgery. Dr Saliba, however, will look after the patient from beginning to end, from testing to rehabilitation – which patients would normally be required to attend other facilities to have done.
Dr Saliba has a passion for education and is a conjoint lecturer at the University of Notre Dame University, as well as providing regular education events and interactive talks with General Practitioners.
